Dan Jensen
Dan Jensen was born and raised in Chicago. He received his BFA from the University of Denver and also studied painting at the University of Mexico in Mexico City and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Jensen's life took a left turn into a career in manufacturing, but he returned to painting after a move to Florida in 2015. He has exhibited his work nationally including at The Salmagundi Club in New York and the Arts Club of Chicago, where he is one of a limited number of Artist Members.
In addition to Jensen's personally-selected subjects, he has for many years been a highly-successful and sought-after commission artist, and has completed many portraits and other works for clients scattered throughout the country. Jensen's fine art painting ouevre includes realistic or surrealistic depictions of florals, Floridana, water, and kitsch, often in in inventive and unexpected ways. Jensen has had a number of solo exhibitions including, most recently, at the Naples Art Institute. He believes that art, above all, should elevate the human condition by depicting beauty in representational or abstract form, and that's a sentiment we can get behind whole-heartedly.
